Grandma's Coughdrop
Whiskey with a quarter ounce of coffee liqueur under it and four drops of grenadine on top. The name is about the colour and the sweet edge rather than a warning — it goes down smooth.

Method
- Pour the whiskey into a shot glass.
- Add the coffee liqueur. Kahlúa is what it was built on, and any coffee liqueur does the same work.
- Drop the grenadine in on top and drink it in one. Four drops is the whole measure — it takes the edge off the whiskey rather than sweetening the shot.
Variations on this
- Christmas Firgin in place of the whiskey
