Tools

Contains caffeineCaffeine does not make you less drunk, it makes you feel less drunk — the impairment is the same and only your read on it changes. Judge this one by what went into the glass rather than by how alert you feel, and give it the same distance from bedtime you would give a coffee.

Method

  1. Put a coffee dripper over a mixing glass, line the coffee dripper with a filter, and put the coffee in the filter.
  2. Pour the rum, umeshu, sherry, and St-Germain over the coffee and let them drip into the glass.
  3. Add the balsamic vinegar to the mixing glass, then ice, and stir to incorporate.
  4. Strain the cocktail over an ice sphere into the rocks glass.
