Preparations
Boil a cup of sugar with half a cup of water over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, until it turns caramel-colored. Off the heat add another half cup of warm water. Be careful, it will steam and spit. Stir it in. Cool completely.
Method
- Add everything to a shaker, fill it two-thirds with ice, and shake hard until cold.
- Double strain the cocktail into the coupe.
- Garnish with lemon twist.
