Measures & Conversions
When a recipe says "bar spoon," it means a teaspoon.
1 bar spoon = 1 tsp1 oz = 30 mlJigger ≈ 1 to 1½ oz
The bar's own units
A bar spoon is one teaspoon. A jigger typically runs one to one and a half ounces. A shot glass has no legal standard but usually falls between one and a quarter and one and a half ounces, which makes it a passable backup measure.
"Parts" are proportional rather than absolute, so a drink built on three parts to one works at any scale, as long as you keep the ratio.
